Industry Track
We host sector-focused retreats that bring together
different industry leaders and key experts for
highly collaborative experiences. Former attendees
have seen results in terms of increased awareness of the work being
done across multiple players in the ecosystem, as well as a growth
in the number of collaborations generated with
peers in the industry.
Methodology
There are three core elements that we consider when
designing the experience.
Industry retreats
These are sector-specific retreats for different stakeholders
from a
particular industry
e.g. health, education, employment. The objective is to bring
together the right leaders and facilitate critical and
valuable discussions surrounding the state of the industry and
its development
Our agenda’s design helps
trust to be built
and allows
multi-stakeholder partnerships
to form across the industry’s value chain.

Reflections From Our Clients
JRNY/ElRehla deepens the connection between the
players and the stakeholders in the field. It widens
our network and helps us collaborate with each
other, making a bigger impact in the community
whether on the corporate, government or individual
level. Initiatives end up being bigger and more
impactful.
Sahar Albazzar,
MP, Egyptian Parliament
The first retreat I attended with JRNY/ElRehla was
the Employment ecosystem retreat in 2018. Back then,
Sprints was still just an idea. My interactions with
different people in the retreat led to forming
multiple collaborations and developing different
ideas until I founded Sprints in 2019.
Ayman Bazraa,
CEO & Co-Founder
Sprints
JRNY/ElRehla succeeded in being the point of
transformation for different mindsets, coming from
different places, with different experiences in
order to let these people benefit and help each
other in their work.
Ahmed Zahran,
CEO & CO-FOUNDER
KarmSolar
I’ve met people at JRNY/ElRehla who I’ve met in so
many events before and we never talked more than
‘how are you?’. At JRNY/ ElRehla, we were really
connected and I really got to know the rest
intensely and personally. I may be working with many
in the future, but this time as a friend.
Emily Renny,
Managing Director,
Accept Payments
It would have taken me a very long time to reach out
to different companies and founders, but with
JRNY/ElRehla strategic partnerships were formed in
three days. JRNY/ElRehla creates a visual
representation of the ecosystem, which makes it
easier to learn about the services that other
entities provide and facilitates the creation of
partnerships.
Mohamed Ghallab,
Founder and Managing Director,
Interface HR Solutions
Amazing experience. Great blend of diverse ecosystem
members with different paradigms. Mixing academia,
startups, investors, and others gave great insights
about the work of each player. I love the content,
participants and organizers.
Walid Khalil,
Partner, Endure Capital
So many different layers, different backgrounds, the
exposure was different from what I thought it would
be. People who I worked with professionally, I was
able to connect with on a personal level.
Con O’Donnell,
COO & Partner, Elves
Through JRNY/ElRehla’s setup and outstanding caliber
of attendees, I had the chance to reflect on my work
and interact with a lot of great minds that helped
me assess the needs of women entrepreneurs. I
decided that the next step was building a digital
community for women entrepreneurs that connected
them with all the resources they need. Six months
after the camp Entreprenelle Hub was launched.
Roaa Ahmed,
Strategic Programs, Basharsoft,
Former COO, Entreprenelle
It is always a challenge for support organizations
to identify and work with an agile start-up that is
keen to learn, develop and eventually evolve.
JRNY/ElRehla is one of those rapidly evolving
Egyptian startups that we are pleased to cooperate
with on various dimensions. Amongst many, one of
their edges is definitely its dynamic team that is
genuinely keen on thinking and acting one step
ahead.
Dalia Abdalla,
GIZ
JRNY/ElRehla was the ideal choice for Oxfam as a
partner as we were looking for innovative and
exciting new ways to nurture the growth and
development of entrepreneurs.
Youmna ElKhattam,
Formerly Program Manager Oxfam
They are very useful and the linkages done
professionally and personally are priceless. Thank
you for the amazing job JRNY/ElRehla team.
Rania ElSayed,
Senior Cultural Affairs Specialist,
US Embassy in Cairo
JRNY/ElRehla has been a unique experience for the
entrepreneurs GIZ has supported. The content of the
workshops enabled entrepreneurs to tap into their
innovative potential and get the needed feedback on
their businesses from the right experts. The setting
was also perfect for harnessing real connections
between people making JRNY/ElRehla the most
effective networking event anyone could be part of.
Alia Aziz,
GIZ
JRNY/ElRehla creates a strong and resourceful
community and network. It became an important
business trip in iCareer’s annual plan. My company
secured funds for one of its biggest projects
through the connections I made. During the retreats
you don’t only get to know the people in the
retreat, you become part of a bigger network that
can lead you to many new opportunities.
